A relocation atlas, not a ranking
One place for taxes, legalization, living costs, housing, safety, climate, healthcare and infrastructure.
SettleMetric compares countries and cities for people who work remotely. The goal is simple — give the fullest, most honest picture of a place so a relocation decision rests on facts, not marketing.

The principles behind the work
These rules decide what enters the site and how uncertainty is shown.

Provenance stays visible
Every fact carries a source and verification date. There is an official document or open dataset behind each number.

Laws come from first-party sources
Taxes, contributions, visas and legal requirements come only from tax authorities, immigration services, embassies or official gazettes.

Honest gaps beat guesses
When we cannot verify something, we mark it as missing and explain why instead of inventing a number.

The method is public
Calculations and criteria are documented. The composite score is secondary, while every underlying fact remains available.

No paywall on the data
Access to collected facts, sources and verification dates never depends on a subscription.
